We've started a new unit on Pop Art, an art movement of the 1960s. We are studying artists such as Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Wayne Thiebaud, Robert Indiana, George Segal, Keith Haring, and others!
Second and third graders have been having a great time making this Claes Oldenburg inspired ice cream sculptures! They look good enough to eat! All grade levels are really interested in this project, so if I can get a donation of more cups, I'd like to do more of them.

When I was in secondary school had to do a project on Pop art and I picked Andy Warhol :) I had fun doing it and still to this day 16 years still have an interest in pop art and Andy Warhol due to what I saw and learned back down...:)
